Your first visit with us

Upon entering the practice, you can check in at the front desk and take a seat in our waiting room. During your first visit you will be required to complete a registration form and medical history questionnaire. In addition, we ask that you bring along any existing dental records from your former dentist, a valid ID and your health insurance card.

As it is your first visit with us, a dental exam will be performed to assess your current oral health status. Consideration will also be given to your general health. We will ask about any health problems you have or any medications that you are taking and discuss how these might affect your oral health and any future treatments. In some cases, you might need to complete an additional questionnaire. Once the dental exam is finished, the results of it will be discussed with you.

Follow-up appointments

If you require a follow-up appointment with the dentist or the dental hygienist, you can make this appointment immediately at the front desk. We always try to help you as soon as possible. If it is not possible to make an appointment on the same day, we will work with you to schedule another suitable time.

Normally during a routine six-month dental check-up there will not be any time reserved for treatments, unless agreed in advance. Please inform us about any changes in your personal/insurance details or medication.

Reschedule an appointment

If for some reason you cannot make your appointment, please provide us with least 24 hours’ notice. By letting us know in good time, we are often able to reschedule your appointment at short notice.

If you fail to notify us of your cancellation within 24 hours of your appointment, we are obliged to charge you a fee for the time reserved. This is in accordance with our general terms of delivery and payment and the guidelines of the health insurers and the Royal Dutch Dental Association (KNMT).

Some emergencies, like losing a tooth or bleeding, need to be treated immediately.

In such cases, you can call the practice immediately at +31 (0)70-320 02 60. Outside our practice opening hours an answering machine will provide information on how to contact the dentist on duty.

For less urgent emergencies, like a broken tooth or a loose crown, you can call us during opening hours to make an appointment as soon as possible.


Not enough time to brush your teeth before your appointment with your dentist? Feel free to ask us for a toothbrush and toothpaste.
